3. Conflicts of interest are reviewed and ruled out

Then, the ball is in the attorney's court

• 30% of the time, I am not retained by the attorney
• 20% of the time, I am retained 6-9 months later
• 50% of the time, I am immediately retained

100% of the time, I ignore the retaining party
