How to Handle Troll Hate: Don’t Delete Block

"𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀" (yep, I was due for my monthly troll message)

...

Roughly once or twice a month, things get personal

1. An In-Mail is received
2. I eagerly open it in good faith
3. And proceed to get cursed at or shamed

Or at least, that is the sender's desired effect

But I really don't feel that way

I just block/delete

Because the system needs ethical physicians

To opine on the standards of care

On behalf of 𝘽𝙊𝙏𝙃 parties

𝙉𝙊𝙏 just one side

But 𝘽𝙊𝙏𝙃

There is an ethical duty to point out substandard care

There is an ethical duty to defend appropriate care

And you cannot have one, without the other

In the end

The system we currently have may be flawed

But it's the only one we presently have

So I play my critical part in it ethically

And in case the troll was wondering

Yes, I sleep well at night
